New Pre-K Parkour Class for Ages 3-6 Beginning January

We are very excited to expand our class offerings and teach a wider range of students. Since Fight or Flight Academy opened, we have not allowed students younger than 7 to join classes.

Times have changed, and we are now able to offer classes for ages 3-6, with a highly qualified instructor, and specialized equipment and curriculum made specifically for this class.



Kids love to play, and we love to teach! In this class, your child will learn how to move their body. The focus of the class is to teach fundamental movement skills for later in life utilizing Parkour movements, including right from left, balance, proprioception, safe falling techniques, and much more!

Beginning in January, we will hold our Pre-K PK class every Tuesday at 3:00pm. Pre-register today to lock in your monthly rate for only $54/month.


Small Schedule Update



We will be making a small schedule update starting in November. This update will include some small changes to a few classes, as well as adding an additional flips class, and two new classes, Yoga and movie stunts.

In addition, we are renaming Level 4 to “Pre Team”. The class structure remains the same, but this provides a clear path to joining the Fight or Flight Pro Team. The testing requirements to get into this class will be available soon.

The New Classes

  • Yoga

    • We have always viewed Yoga as an incredible supplement to your Parkour training. It can serve as a great cooldown after classes, and by increasing your flexibility, you will greatly reduce risk of injury during Parkour training. PK Mobility previously served this role, but Yoga will be a much better alternative. As such, we have decided to remove our PK Mobility classes and will be integrating some of it into our core classes.

    • Sign up for our first Yoga sampler class on Thursday, October 24th at 8:30pm. It’s FREE for all current members.

  • Stunts

    • Want to work in Hollywood movies, but too ugly to be an actual actor? Try doing stunts! In this class you will learn the basics of safe and convincing falling in a variety of scenarios, simple martial arts techniques and choreography, and film set etiquette.

      • Safe and proper technique for taking a fall

      • Selling a fall on camera

      • Proper look of various scenarios of getting shot

      • Basic on set firearm safety

      • Effective simple hand to hand as well as weaponry martial art choreography and acting for hitting and taking a hit

      • Basics of high falls

      • Proper on set filming etiquette and procedures

    • The first Stunts class will begin on the 9th, as Chad will be gone the first Saturday of November.

530pm – Removed PK Mobility, Added Beginner Flips

630pm – Removed All Levels class, Added Teen/Adult Level 2

730pm – Removed All Levels class, Added Teen/Adult Level 3


830pm – Teen/Adult Level 1 moved to 7:30pm


6pm – Beginner Swords class moved to 6:30pm

7pm – Advanced Swords class is changed to a Sword Sparring class, and begins at 7:30pm


8:30pm – Added a brand new weekly Yoga class!


No Change


9am – Moved Youth Level 1 class to this time (From 10am)

10am – Youth Level 3 will now have a dedicated instructor for the full hour, and will no longer go until 11:30am.

3:30pm – Removed PK Fit & Mobility, added a brand new weekly Stunts class (The first stunts class will be on the 9th, as Chad will be gone the first Saturday of November).

Special Schedule for Memorial Weekend


Many of our students and coaches are traveling to D.C. over Memorial weekend for Beast Coast, the world’s biggest Parkour jam.

We encourage all of you to go too! For more information about the jam, please VISIT THEIR WEBSITE.

On Friday and Saturday (24th and 25th of May), our normal classes will be cancelled. Instead, we will have special open gym only hours.

You can purchase a day pass and train at the gym as much or as little as you want on those days for only $20.

Our Friday hours are 4pm-10pm and our Saturday hours are Noon – 6pm.


Big Changes Coming in April | Full Details


A few weeks ago we published a preview of our upcoming changes coming in April. We are excited to share with you the exact details of those changes in this blog post. There is a lot to go over and we’re sure there will be questions. Please bring any questions you have to Kim, and he will be happy to answer your questions.


Membership Changes


Our most significant change is going to be to our membership options. There is a lot to go over, but we are confident these changes will be beneficial to everyone.

Current students have the option to switch to any of our new membership options whenever they like. If you would like to remain on your current membership option, you can do so by enrolling in our autopay program and you can keep your current membership for as long as you remain on the autopay program. Any student who is not enrolled in autopay, or who takes a break and comes back will need to switch to one of the new membership options, detailed below.



Addons are a new addition to our membership options. They allow you to customize your membership to fit your needs with more granularity. You must be currently enrolled in a Youth Parkour Level 1/2/3 or Teen/Adult Level 1/2/3/4 membership to be eligible for any of the addon options. You can addon for only one month, or keep it for several months. You can add or remove any of your addon options at any time.

Not everyone has the time or the desire to take instructed classes and would instead prefer to train on their own or with friends. We want to support that with our new unlimited open gym only membership. For $99/month, you can attend any and all of our open gym classes. There are eight open gyms every week to attend.

Core Memberships Overview


Our core memberships are receiving a large overhaul. As stated above, any current students that want to remain on their existing membership can do so by enrolling in our autopay system, and can remain registered for that membership for as long as they remain on autopay.

We are now offering three different options for both our standard and simple packages.

Our month to month options have no contract and you can cancel them at any time, the same way our current memberships work.

We are now offering a 4-month and 12-month option, with substantial discounts to go along with them.

If you sign up for a 4-month package, you save 15% compared to the month to month packages. The 12-month packages save you 30% compared to the month to month packages.

When signing up for the 4-month or 12-month packages, you have the option to pay the full amount up front and save an additional 5% on top of the 15% or 30% savings, or you may choose to pay in monthly installments.

The exact details and pricing for each membership will be detailed below.


Junior & Youth (Ages 7-14)




You will notice that our naming structure has changed. To remain more consistent and be easier to understand, we have renamed Junior Parkour to Youth Parkour Level 1. Youth Parkour is now Youth Parkour Level 2, and Youth Level 2 is now Youth Level 3. The classes remain split in much the same way as before, but we will be putting a much stronger emphasis on skill, height, and maturity when deciding which level to place students in.

Our new youth membership options are as follows (all three youth parkour levels share the same membership pricing and structure):

Teen/Adult (Ages 14-116)



Level 4 is here! With the addition of Level 4, we are able to adjust levels 2 and 3 to provide a more steady increase in difficulty and complexity rather than the large gap between levels that currently exists. What you will find is that Level 2 will see a shift in structuring to focus on solidifying core movements and principals, providing a smoother transition from Level 1 to Level 2. You will find that overall Level 2 will be slightly easier, while Level 3 will be slightly harder than current Level 2, but easier than current Level 3. Level 1 remains unchanged.

Gone are the “A” and “B” classes. While the idea has worked well, we found it to be confusing for new students and ultimately not needed with our new restructuring. Instead, you will be able to attend classes of your current level and one level lower. For example, a Level 3 student can take Level 3 AND Level 2 classes, but cannot take Level 1 or Level 4 classes. This still provides you with variety during the week if that’s what you like by taking a class of each level which will focus on different skills, or you can take the same level class multiple times per week and get lots of practice and insight from different instructors on the same skill.

Over the next few weeks, we will be evaluating our Level 2 students for their eligibility toward Level 3. We anticipate roughly half our current Level 2 students will be elevated to Level 3, allowing them the option to take Level 3 AND Level 2 classes. Those who remain in Level 2 are eligible for Level 2 AND Level 1 classes.

Other than price, the main difference you will see in memberships is in the Simple Package. We have removed the unlimited open gyms portion, and in turn lowered the price. You can add your unlimited open gyms back again with our new membership addons, or save some money and maybe buy some FoFa merchandise with it. 😀

Our schedule will see a huge overhaul. As a whole, most people’s scheduling will not need to change much if at all. Almost all of the Junior and Youth classes (renamed Youth 1/2/3) remain at the same time. Our Level 2 and Level 3 classes mostly occupy the same spots the old “A” and “B” classes used to occupy. So while it looks like a lot is changing, it really isn’t. We have also tried to have the option for students to take multiple classes in a row to make the most of the drive out here.

Preview of the Big Changes Coming in April


We are always looking for ways to improve. A little more than three years ago, Fight or Flight Academy saw a huge change with the introduction of our Foundations system (what you probably know as levels one, two, and three). This change was well received by everyone, and we have been making small tweaks to it ever since.

Sunday Community Events & Parties

One change that has already taken place is the removal of our Sunday classes. This change allows us to focus on birthday parties and community events on Sundays instead. We plan to host at least one community event every month. Events range from night games to movies to nerf wars to board games. If you have ideas and/or want to help organize any of these events please let us know!


Junior & Youth Programs

Last year our big goal was to build our Junior and Youth programs. This quest has been mostly successful, but we feel there is still some room for improvement.

Our goal for our Junior and Youth programs is to re-evaluate our curriculum to see where tweaks can be made, with the hope of providing a clearer progression path for students and parents. We are also adding more popular class times to the schedule, as well as more Youth Level 2 class options for advanced students. We also hope to have a younger age bracket in our upcoming competitions.

Teen/Adult Programs

Our goal this year for our teen/adult program is to add the ever-talked-about Level 4 and to split Levels 2 and 3 up. This will greatly benefit both new and veteran students by having a steadier increase in difficulty rather than the fairly large gap that currently exists from level to level. You will also see some adjustments to our membership structuring, allowing more customization of your membership to fit your own needs.

We are still in the process of finalizing these changes, so the above details might change. If you have any ideas or feedback, please let us know. It may influence our decisions. We expect to have everything finalized by mid-February and implemented in April, so keep an eye out for that update.


September 2018 Schedule Updates


Starting in September, we are getting a new full time instructor!

Collin Cooper is joining Fight or Flight Academy as a full time instructor again after a hiatus to work for American Parkour Academy. Collin has been training with Chad since before Fight or Flight Academy even opened, and helped find the location and build the obstacles we still have today.

With the addition of Collin, we will be updating our schedule, in most cases only to add additional classes, not to take any away.

Supplementary Class Packages

This is going to be the biggest change we are making, and these changes actually are beginning in August.

All of our supplementary classes will now be 4-week structured sessions, instead of singular one-time sessions. This allows us to get into a lot more detail on each subject and tailor the class to the students who signed up.
